Why Is Medical Data Collected?
NHS Digital is the part of the NHS responsible for supporting health and care planning in England through the collection of pseudonymised data.
There is a new data collection planned called the "General Practice Data for Planning and Research" and patients have until 1st September to decide whether they want their data included in this extraction.
As a practice we are legally required under Section 259 (1)(a) and 259 (5) of the Health and Social Care Act to release this information.
